Master Drive Academy reserves the right to postpone or cancel any In-Class Session or In-Car Driving Lessons. Your instructor may cancel or reschedule your on-road session due to illness, personal emergency, weather conditions, or other unexpected circumstances. The instructor may offer free pickup/drop-off service based on discretion. Cancellations by students require 24-hour advance notice, otherwise, a $45 + HST fee applies.
The road test examination fee is not included in the driving school packages and must be paid directly to the government before your instructor can book the road test.
If you wish to use the school vehicle for your road test, it can be arranged at an additional cost. Packages including this service expire within one year. After the expiration, Master Drive Academy is not responsible for fulfilling the service. Please confirm fees for road tests held outside Toronto.
The BDE course must be completed within one year of enrollment. Certification requires the completion of 20 hours of in-class theory, 10 hours of home-link, and 10 hours of in-car training with an 80% final score. Failure to complete any component or not passing the tests will result in not being certified.
Driving lessons are scheduled between the student and instructor. Students must present a valid Ontario Driving Licence (G1/G2/G) before each lesson. Failure to provide the license will result in cancellation and a $90/hr charge.
All fees are non-refundable once the course begins. If you request a refund before lessons commence but have been given instructor contact details, you are eligible for a 50% refund. A $15 refund charge applies to all refund transactions.
Road tests can be canceled due to various disruptions like weather or emergencies. If canceled, a Re-Attempt Road Test Service Fee of $150 applies if you wish to reschedule with the school’s vehicle and instructor.
If a student cancels a package mid-way, Master Drive Academy will issue a refund pro-rated based on completed lessons, but no refunds are available after one year. In the case of road test cancellations caused by the Ministry (such as snow or emergencies), the school will charge a re-attempt service fee to cover the instructor’s time and rescheduling effort. Full refunds are not provided for the missed road test, but unused service may be adjusted for future appointments.
